Introducing November’s Featured Coffee
Community Blend has earned its place as November’s Coffee of the Month because it’s been specifically formulated to excel in automatic coffee machines—achieving full flavour and thick, rich crema. It brings together three distinct origins and is roasted fresh in Melbourne by Industry Beans.

The Industry Beans Partnership
Community Blend is a thoughtfully crafted collaboration with Industry Beans, one of Melbourne’s most respected roasters. When we set out to create Community Blend, we needed a roasting partner who understood both the technical demands of automatic machines and the quality standards that Melbourne coffee drinkers expect. Industry Beans was the natural choice.
Founded by brothers Steven and Trevor Simmons in 2013, Industry Beans has grown from a single Fitzroy warehouse roastery into Australia’s largest independent specialty coffee roaster. Their flagship Fitzroy location showcases their commitment to transparency and quality. Every coffee is roasted fresh to order in small batches, which is why Community Blend arrives at peak freshness.
Origin & Composition
Community Blend combines rich Brazilian, fruity Indonesian, and aromatic Papua New Guinean coffee beans. The blend uses both Arabica and Robusta beans.
Tasting Notes: Treacle, Pear, and Aniseed
Community Blend is a medium roast with a strength rating of 4/5 and full body. It’s been blended to be delicious with milk, as espresso, or as a long black.
The dominant treacle note provides a deep, comforting sweetness that works particularly well in milk-based drinks. The pear notes add bright, fruity elements that are most noticeable in espresso and long blacks. The aniseed character is subtle, appearing primarily in the finish as a gentle, aromatic quality.
The full body and thick crema make it ideal for milk-based preparations.
Designed for Automatic Machines
Community Blend was specifically designed to work perfectly in automatic coffee machines. Whether you’re using a domestic bean-to-cup machine or a commercial automatic system, this blend delivers consistent results with excellent crema production.
For offices and workplaces using automatic machines, Community Blend maintains quality across high-volume service. For home users, it provides reliable, delicious coffee without requiring perfect technique or precise equipment tuning.
The blend also works well in traditional espresso machines and is versatile enough for long blacks and iced coffee as Melbourne’s weather warms.
Community Blend is ideal for:
- Automatic coffee machine owners (domestic and commercial)
- Offices and workplaces using bean-to-cup machines
- Milk coffee enthusiasts who want full body and rich flavour
- Anyone seeking consistent, reliable coffee designed for automatic equipment
