ST. ALi Coffee
Melbourne roaster ST. ALi's coffee beans, stocked by My Coffee Shop in 1 kg bags for daily drinkers, a 225 g bag for trying the blend and a 500 g decaf, all dispatched the same day when ordered before 3:00 pm Melbourne time on a business day. ST. ALi was founded in 2005 in a South Melbourne warehouse, roasts in-house and is now based in Port Melbourne.
Two espresso blends and a decaf make up the range. Orthodox (1 kg) is the original house blend, a balanced medium roast from Latin American beans that is as happy in a plunger or pour-over as it is in a milk coffee. Wide Awake is roasted darker for dark chocolate, roasted almond and toffee, sourced from Brazil's Alta Mogiana and El Salvador's Santa Ana regions, and comes in 1 kg or a 225 g bag. Calm & Gentle is the Swiss Water Process decaf, with chocolate and honey and a buttery body.
Orthodox, Wide Awake or decaf
If your coffee is mostly black or you switch between brew methods through the week, Orthodox is the more versatile of the two. Wide Awake is the one for strong flat whites and anyone who finds lighter specialty roasts too bright. The 225 g bag is a low-commitment way to test it before moving to the kilo, and the decaf is a genuine espresso option rather than an afterthought.
Delivery is free over $200 within Australia, otherwise a flat $9.95. Other Melbourne roasters sit alongside ST. ALi in our coffee beans collection.
