Two Amanti blends, Hunter Gold and Golden Moka, make up this page: 100% Arabica coffee beans in 1 kg bags at opposite ends of the roast spectrum, shipped Australia-wide from My Coffee Shop. Amanti is one of the smaller brands in our coffee range, and these are the two blends we carry for customers who want a traditional Italian-style cup.
Hunter Gold is the dark roast: a velvety, Southern Italian style blend with a strength rating of five out of five and fruity overtones that keep it from tasting flat. Golden Moka is the medium roast, lighter on the palate with chocolate and hazelnut notes and a sweet, lingering aftertaste.
Dark or medium?
Hunter Gold is for drinkers who want their espresso to cut through milk and taste like the coffee from a traditional Italian bar. Golden Moka is the gentler everyday bean, balanced enough to drink black and sweet enough for a latte. If you are unsure, buy one of each: both are whole beans in 1 kg bags, and the suggested recipe on the Hunter Gold page (18 to 20 g in, 36 to 40 g out, 25 to 30 seconds) is a sensible starting point for either.
