The Ascaso Steel Duo PID Plus is a dual thermo-block espresso machine featuring PID temperature control, programmable pre-infusion and volumetrically controlled shots. The machine is ready to use 5 minutes after switching on, making it ideal for your morning coffee. The thermo-blocks provide temperature stability for your shots and continuous steam pressure using 35 - 75% less energy than boiler machines. With an attractive stainless steel cabinet available in black, white, and stainless steel and just 270mm wide, the Ascaso Steel Duo is ideal for the home barista.

PID Features & Programming

Benefits in detail

PID

Adjust the coffee temperature at the group, set the steam temperature/pressure, program pre-infusion (1 - 5 sec), set a stand-by mode, and more. The current temperature is displayed (not programmed), and a shot clock is displayed during extraction. 

 

Volumetric control

Programmable single and double shots allow you to start your shot and walk away. The shot will stop automatically once your programmed volume is reached.

Thermodynamic group

Thermal stability is achieved using a large thermal mass lead-free brass boiler insulated on all surfaces. Heat is transferred to the group directly from the top-mounted thermoblock. A sensor in the group monitors and controls the temperature to within 1.5 degrees.

 

Thermo-block

Made from aluminium with an AISI316 stainless steel water circuit, the thermoblock provides a fast 2-minute heat-up time, fresh water for every shot as boiler stored water is not re-heated, temperature stability from the electronically controlled water path, constant steam pressure, and reduced limescale build-up.  

Active cup warmer

The cup warmer provides plenty of space for your favourite cups. It is actively heated by a 10W element, ensuring your cups are always hot.
